Van Vigyaan Kendra of Warangal is also known as Zoo Park, Hanamkonda. This park was set up by the Forest Department with the help of the District Administration. The park is spread across an area of 50 Acres
 and provides peace and relaxation to the people of Warangal. It is the famous place of the kids as they love to see the birds and animals in their childhood days more than an adult. It acts as an educational place for the young generation to be close to the nature and understand the significance of the same.

Popularity of this park can be understood from the fact that more than 500 people including tourists and locals visit this park every day and during the festivals season and on public holidays this number reaches up to double of its normal quantity. The forest department that maintains the park not only takes care of the feeding and up-keeping of the birds and animals but also of the general maintenance of the place.

You will find various species of faunal population here. Some of these animals include Neelgai, Deer, Crocodiles, Sambar, Tortoise, Sloth Beers and Rabbits. As far as the birds are concerned you will easily get to see Pigeons, Ducks, Ring Doves, Lovebirds, Peacocks and Pheasants. Apart from the birds and animals, an environment education center is also there to educate public about the nature. This center includes a museum, an auditorium and a small library to provide education to the society.
